ya should hear them when you'rein the middle of a firefight with a bunch of NVA regulars shooting at ya...

They do make a distinctive sound and they spray a lot of lead......

...there's lots of AR's out there and a good supply of ammunition would be cheaper than some 'exotic' type of weapon. Another thing about there being lots of them, there will be parts available, at least more than the more 'exotic' guns. Stick with something basic. Simple enough to train a novice on if ya have to.

...the ak47 is a good weapon but when I hear one it still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
