I have to agree, ribit. Why would any officer be willing to actually intervene - given that you're damned if you do and damned if you don't by a mayor and a DA that are looking for any excuse to make police officers the scapegoats. These moronic politicians are going to force innocent residents to reap what they (ignorant, Democrat jackasses) are stupidly sowing - in spades.
