The CMOS battery was still working? Incredible.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

I decided to re-arrange my computer room this weekend . . .
And in the process I dug an old computer out from under the
computers I currently use.

An old Dell Optiplex.

So I'm looking at it . . PS2 keyboard and mouse ports. Yep,
I got some of those. VGA video card, got one of those too.

So I went ahead and cabled it up. Started it up. Got it to
boot up. Windows 98. Came up running OK. OLD files still on
it. Shut it back down and opened it up, old IDE hard drive
in it. With a whopping 80 Gigabytes . . . BIG for those days.
And slow as molasses in winter compared to my current computers.

Also found the cooling fan had broke loose. So I took out the
drive and Tuesday I'll put it in the electronic scrap heap at work.

Zim.
