All ya needs in a newer motherboard to out in that CASE, likely a new power supply, a little newer CPU like maybe an Intel I-3 with quad core, 8 GB of RAM memory one 500 GB solid state drive for $50.00 and you would be doing really good. I always enjoyed building new computers from scratch with off the shelf parts. There's a certain feeling of accomplishment when you turn it on. Now it could well be the case is way too old to supoprt even LGA 775 but that is exactly what my desktop is running very nicely.
A quad core CPU with 8 GB of Ram. It has a sold state drive I upgraded to and Ghosted the disck drive onto the ew solid state hard drive. Improved boot time and performance a LOT.
I really do not care much for laptops. But that is me...

Cool find. That computer really is very old but I alays like to dissect them and see if I can bring them back to life... I think I have three extra power supplies on hand a large container with everything else imaginable that pertains to computer hardware in it.... I never throw stuff like that away...

Decomposed > The CMOS battery was still working? Incredible.

I'm pretty sure the CMOS battery is toast.
On newer machines it comes up with
'Press F1 to boot' . . . I had to do
something but it wasn't F1 then it did
boot on up.

By the way, this thing is so old there
was no USB ports in it.
