It is readily apparent that Wallace didn't have to stage anything. He simply looked over at the pull rope for the garage door that has been hanging there for years and yelled "NOOSE!"
Of course, if NASCAR had any adults in the room, they would have immediately said, "Wallace ... get a grip ... that's the pull for the garage door, you moron." And that would've been that. But, no ... they were too cowardly to offend with Wallace, their only black driver, with the obvious truth ... so they concocted a PR stunt that ended up embarrassing them and damaging their brand.
Maybe Red can get 'em back on track ...
