Sorry, my friend ... I was being facetious and highly sarcastic. They aren't celebrating "Stonewall Jackson Day" ... they are celebrating "Stonewall Day," which the article describes thus: 

"Stonewall Day marks when New York City police conducted a raid on a gay bar in 1969 which led to the Stonewall riots. The riots helped launch the modern gay rights movement."

I wuz jest havin' a lil' fun at their expense, don'tcha know.

well

he was a southerner and was not opposed to slavery. Best General the Confederacy had. But he was going to defend the South and all of its institutions whichis one reason I cannot figure out Thomas Jackson..

YESSSSS That is a symbol of a southern General who fought to keep the institution of slavery...

Amazing that the dimwits were okay with tearing down Ulysses S Grant monument who was theone who ultimately led to the freedom of the enslaved people....

As usual they got is ARSE backwards...
