Re: “and . . . zow! Right on the top of my foot” The top of my right foot is swollen today - from the base of the toes to part way up the ankle. I can't see any veins like I can on the left foot. I can't even see 'em on the ankle! And there's little visible tendon movement when I wiggle my toes. It's like the Pillsbury Dough Foot.

Itchy too! And I can't scratch it. I learned earlier this summer that the flesh near a wasp sting is extremely delicate. It'll tear if I scratch the itch.

Overall, the after effects of this one sting are far worse than any of the others, maybe even combined - and I had MANY stings last time. It'd better not get any worse. I'm already limping - not from pain but because it feels so puffy.

No shoes for me for a while - ironic, since that's what led to this.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Re: “I haven't been stung - which proves, for you doubters, that I am in fact smarter than a wasp.”No longer true.

I was moving the last of the seventeen panels. I'd already flipped it looking for nests and there were none. For some reason, the wasps were still hanging around, though - hours after I'd upended it. I moved it about ten feet and . . . zow! Right on the top of my foot (yeah, I was wearing sandals.) I dropped the panel and hustled inside before another could get me.

The thing is, there's no nest. I have no idea why they're still interested in that thing. Maybe because now ALL of their nests are gone. They have no place else to go.
