Diamond & Silk: “Black People Just Don’t Like Kamala Harris”

Diamond and Silk, the famous Trump boosters, were critical of Joe Biden’s selection of Sen. Kamala Harris as his running mate and questioned if she was chosen based on affirmative action since she was one of Biden’s most fierce critics in last year’s primaries.
“Black people don’t like Kamala Harris,” Diamond said on the Todd Starnes Radio Show.
Whether accurate or not, it was long held that Biden’s selection of anyone other than a black woman could jeopardize his candidacy. Biden is seen—even by his supporters—as the old guard in Washington who spent four decades entrenched in the city. Biden’s supporters see Harris as a shot of life for his campaign that can use a break from trying to clean up messes Biden leaves behind after interviews.
Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson, the sisters who have a new show on Newsmax, which premiered last weekend, told Todd Starnes that race is worth discussing since it seems to have been the sine qua non of the selection process.
Hardaway said the media seems like it can’t quite identify Harris’ race.
“We’re questioning if Kamala Harris is really black,” she said. “Because we hear she’s black, then they’re saying she’s Asian, then they’re saying that she’s Indian. So what is it? Which one is it?”
Hardaway said it seems as though Harris believes she’s the next Barack Obama. But Hardaway said the black community should find little comfort in that and they should consider how Obama achieved so little for their community during his eight years in office.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Harris’ time as California’s attorney general is seen as an “especially big challenge for Harris” because of the state’s “high rate of incarcerating people of color goes a long way in explaining the trouble she has had in selling her candidacy to black voters nationwide.”
“Name one thing that he (Obama) did for black people,” she said. “Now, you know ‘Jim Crow Joe’ ain’t going to be running that White House, it’ll probably be Kamala Harris. What’s she going to do for black people, lock them up again?”
