White House raped for campaign

We saw our house dressed up like a hooker waiting for her first John of the evening

Gaudy flag lipstick smeared across her face, giant ten foot screens on her shoulders and rows of cheap white seats crammed elbow to a**hole across her lawn. Her stately white columns and balconies were obscured by trump glitterati. Her face was lit with thousands of candle watts and she seemed to shrink with shame.

Our Whitehouse has never been sold and raped by a politician quite as extensively or thoroughly in public as she has by trump and his campaign. Remember when we were appalled at the Clintons selling a Lincoln bedroom experience?

Make no mistake about this--it's OUR house. It does not belong to donald and jared and ivanka. We grant them the rare privilege to be there and reserve the right to be furious and offended at the whore-mongering they have perpetrated against us and our house.

"The fact is I'm here. What's the name of that building?"

That's trump smirking and pointing at the sad, tarted up spectacle he made of our house.

They claim nobody cares about the Hatch act and it's an obscure ancient law that has no place in a modern democracy--BS!We the taxpayers pay for our house and pay for trump to live there. We treat him extraordinarily well. He is fed and saluted and whisked away to golf weekends and we pay for it all. What we don't have to pay for is his never-ending campaigning when it happens on the south lawn of our house.

We suck up paying for all the fictitious "official visits" to swing states to industries he is looking to court. These events, at factories and airport hangars, are campaign events, but we pay for them as official business. Fine, let's not pick nits-- a few million$$$ here or there....

But let's reserve the right to tell the nation the Hatch Act matters and we damn well should care about it. Anyone who watched the closing night of the RNC should be outraged at having to pay the tab for the blatant exploitation of the very expensive house we provide for him. Let's not just shuffle off those old laws that the conservatives tell us nobody cares about anymore so "get over it and enjoy the freaking fireworks" going off on our house's backside.

Taxpayers who hate trump's message and policies should not be paying to help him get re-elected. But hey, so much gets tossed aside what's one more law? It's your money--did you want to donate it to the trump campaign?

"This abomination may be the most visible misuse of official position for private gain in America’s history. It is an abuse of the power entrusted to this man, the breach of a sacred trust. It is the civic equivalent of a mortal sin—maybe a religious one too. And it is a harbinger..."

---Walter Schaub--- an American attorney specializing in government ethics who, from January 9, 2013 to July 19, 2017, was the director of the United States Office of Government Ethics. He resigned in disgust from the trump administration
