I was visiting with my neurosurgeon back doc early this morning. Been having some really neat things happening that are getting more frequent and afefct my ability to stand from my left leg, thigh in particular.
This is the opposite side of the spine from where all the other surgeries that involved removing tons of athritis so the nerves would not get jabbed by it and of course that is instant acute pain in your low back.
This is now on the opposte side.
I learned a new word today. Spondylothesis. Itrefers to ones vertebal slipping over top of the one under it. This results in nerves that are being squeezed and usually shows up as a searing burning in your thigh followed by burning numbness... Its really neat when it happens cause ya can fall down right in the middle of the store you is shopping at and be the object of unwanted attention...
It's embarrasing.. Anyhoo, I just thought it weird that now my other side of the spine is gong to start acting up.. Theonly good news is that side of the spine has not been previously cut on for arthritis and could possibly be repaired for this problem.. The vertebrae are slipping and going forward over top of each other is wha this refers to and is the cause.
But of course, we cant just go get the mri to prove it. I have to get something called an EGM test tomorrow at 1:30 for the nerves in that left thigh. I don;t know what that is going to do but I have no choice...
Spondylothsis. If ya wants some more excitement in yer life, it could be available in carryout at a diner near you. Sheesh. What next...
