Here's a progress report on the house. I tried not to include too many pics from any single day, but then there are also cases where two weeks went by without any photos.

Although the pics are unevenly distributed timewise, they are in chronological order - so you can see the turning of the seasons as you scroll down - though, I've got to admit, the relevant photos were seemingly taken on cloudy days and they don't do the trees justice.

Except for the excavation and concrete, the work has all been done by the two guys shown in photo #4.

To refresh your memories, I'll start with something close to the desired final result. It's not exact. We decided to get rid of the exterior door next to the garage. The brick chimney will just be pipes as we will have two wood stoves but no conventional fireplace. The front porch will be glassed (removable) and screened in. The bricks supporting the front porch will instead be the pylons shown in photo #2.
