Thanks to those who replied.

I, too, am in the "extreme" camp. If our country is going to continue, we MUST quell this rebellion and send a message to those who are inclined to try it again that such an effort will carry the heaviest possible sentence.

I oppose the death penalty, so my answer to the question would be "release them in a cave and seal it tight."

There are two problems I see with giving them a life sentence. First, it is wrong to require that society pay for the care of individuals who have surrendered their right to be in our society. Second, there can be no assurance that a liberal or RINO future President wouldn't pardon the lot of 'em. In fact, I think it can be reasonably stated that one of them would. This cannot be allowed.
