Um, nemo, that is great they did that for you.
May I say that because some people had successful careers and saved enough (LIKE De and Mrs. De) to be fairly well off within reason, that they do not have to be ignorant of the the things going on around them..
I think its awesome you were able to run into foks like that in your area of the country.... But people did not accumulate a nest egg because it was handed to them for the most part.. And because they are fairly well off should also indicate that they pay attention to what is going on in their world in order to grow and preserve their savings..
I have a young brother in law I do not really care for much who was a pauper most of his life. His wife was highly intelligent R.N. at Childrens Hospital in Cincinnati, one of the best in America.
Brfother in law goes to get something at McDonalds to eat or some other place and gives an extra 20 bucks to help pay for the people behind him in line that maybe could use a litle help, though he is not what you would call well off... Kindness exhibited is becoming increasingly rare so I am ELATED that you were the recipient of that!
