While I cannot say that I have that same situation, I can say that I had a great time last night visiting with my granddaughter and grandson, she is the best catcher in girls softball in the state and he just pinned three other wrestlers while wrestling UP in weight class because he is less than 200 pounds and the boys he pinned were over 220, and of course my daughter and son in law.

I had a slice of strawberry cake too many. My grandaughter made me a bunch of peanut butter cookies! That was so sweet. I love her cookies. She's a good baker. Learned from her grandmother(mrs. micro)

So its a another year the Lord has granted me and I am thankful for that. Looking forward to Christmas.

I have an MRI on Monday morning at 7:00 a.m. on my right knee for meniscus tear again and surgical repair to follow soon after..
I was told by my spine doctor that when I am ready and if I want to, we can discuss the surgical correction on my lower back to eliminate the left leg going numb. He is talking abiout a fusion of the L4-L3 vertebral facets.

SHOULD I go get a second opinion say at the Mayfield CLinic and see if their worldclass spine docs can actually find what is causing the tingling and numbness in my left thigh?

I appreciate your comments as I consider many of you to be intelligent and wise . Always good to hear what other people think...

Thanks everyone.. I do need to get this taken care of as it affects me and my ability to even walk or go anywhere. I also am somewhat afraid of a spinal fusion not knowing if that will solve a problem the doc cannot see on an MRI.

MRI only shows ONE SIDE of the spine. It does not show the opposite side. Also, it is taken while the body is laying flat on a table and the spine has no weight bearing down on it, so the vertbrae are not being subjected to load bearing down on them.

I think a CT scan with contrast needs to be done from the other side to show what the entire spine is looking like . That is how my forst surgeon who jhas retored found what was wrong with me 6 years ago. Itshowed up all the problems that the MRI did not... From the opposite side view.

Is it wrong to go get another opinion? Why can't we look at this under load?? Just questions I have....

THANKS!

...it is a great blessing to be married to someone who knows everything! Perhaps a few other husband / boyfriend types have had the same experience.
