micro,
As for AWD ... this is just me, but I will NEVER get one of those. My brother-in-law has a Mercedes SUV with AWD. A year or two ago, they came down to Dallas for a visit and blew a tire just a few miles away from our house. His car (and the tires) only had about 18,000 miles on it at the time, and when I took him to the tire shop the next day, they strongly suggested he buy at least two new tires, if not FOUR, because the tires need to have similar wear for the AWD.
Sorry, I think that is a bunch of BS. I don't want to be forced into buying more tires than I need simply because I have a blow-out and have to have similar wear patterns to accommodate the AWD.
And yes, I don't need 4WD in Dallas ... it's just added cost and weight for something I really do not need.
