The reason I asked and emphasized if YOU trust that number is because I know you and another bean counter to be very picky and demanding about accuracy of numbers that are used and thrown around in articles. I also know you spend the time researching. So I was interested in what YOU personally felt about the confidence level in that number..

Re: “Do YOU trust that number?””
As for this second question...

Do I trust the numbers? Of course not. Nobody knows how many cases there are. The many different jurisdictions mentioned in my previous post have different methods and standards for counting cases and even deaths, and Worldometers can only add up what it is provided. I do believe that within the U.S., the number of cases must be far higher than what Worldometers claims since not everyone infected with SARS-CoV-2 bothers to report it (and may never even know).

As for the number of deaths, we'll never have that either. The best answer I can give you about "trust" is that Worldometers is likely as good or better than any other U.S. source.
