Our home phone is through Vonage (internet telephone.) For reasons unknown to me, we get *NO* telemarketing calls. Not one. Ever.

Our cell phones are another story. Telemarketers call pretty often. Obviously, Vonage hasn't sold off our number to these obnoxious organizations while the cell phone providers have.

So I gave it one of the telemarketers from my phones
'block this caller' list.

I love the idea here, but most of the numbers telemarketers use are bogus numbers. They just pick random numbers to use for CallerID. So you may be ‘getting back’ at some innocent person whose number was used.

I understand the frustration with telemarketing calls. Yesterday I was cussed out by a (female) telemarketer who didn’t like my (polite) response to her call. From now on I am just going to hit ‘Reject’ on callers I don’t recognize.
