That's what I did on one end of my attic. SMall storage area. Then after I got this monstrous shed and lined the walls with shelving, I moved the stuff out of the attic and into the shed. Removed plywood and put as much insulation there as was in rest of attic.

I will say this house is near air tight.. defintely draft free. You cannot even hear when a car goes down the stret in front of our home.. The wall insulation and windows and entry door system all play a huge part. Keeps my utility bill at a minimum..

Yup them ladders are nice. I have put those in every house I have ever owned. Lot of added storage also. I could get full sheets of plywood up the ladder also. Made for a nice floor up there........
