A trial runs for some period of time - say, 180 days. At the end of that time, they tally up the numbers to see whether those who received their medicine fared better than those who didn't.
-----
I understand the concept. My Dad participated in a medicinal trial years ago. Another nightmare.
------------
Now, if they TOLD their participants whether they'd received the real medicine, the ones who didn't might behave differently than the others
----
Welp, that would be ME.
------------
That's called a double blind study, everything randomized and nobody knowing what's what.
SOUNDS LIKE OUR GOVERNMENT.
-----------------
It's the only way to be sure that nothing biases the outcome.
I understand this concept, too.
-----
Our government would work better if those eh-holes weren't biased about outcome/s.
