I just called Good Samaritan Hospital and asked for <firstname> <lastname>. The operator said, "No, I'm sorry. He's not here."

I said, "Okay then. He must be at "Bethesda North." The operator said, "Oh, I can check North Bethesda. Would you like me to?" So, of course, I said yes.

She said,"We do have a <lastname> at North Bethesda. Would you like me to connect you to his room?" And I said yes.

A moment later, a somewhat woozy voice picked up. "Hello?"

"Hi," I said. "Is this <firstname> <lastname>?"

"Yes it is," he replied. "Hey, micro! How are you doing?" I asked.

"Who?" he said. Okay, that floored me. "This is De, from New Hampshire. I'm trying to reach my on-line friend micro. Is that who I've got?" I asked.

"No, sorry," he said. "This is <firstname> <lastname>."

I was a little more persistent. "This isn't micro from atomicbobs?" "No, it's not," he said.

So I thanked him, gave him my best wishes for a quick recovery and got off the phone.

What are the chances of THAT??? In the hospital, same first and last name, but NOT micro. I'm wondering if maybe he's so woozy that he doesn't know what he's saying. Do one of you who know his real name want to give the same thing a try in a couple of hours? Maybe you'll have better luck.
