A lot of the older snow has turned to ice - ARE YOU USING ROCK SALT?

we had one of our heavier snowfalls on something like May 23rd - YOU'RE KIDDING - MAY 23rd? Oh yeah, sounds like my kind of weather - not.

My poor wife has to head into town at 10 a.m. when it'll be 4° and windy. I'll be with her in spirit! Aw, who am I kidding? I'll probably sleep in.

She must be on her way out by now, huh? Watch out for those old fart broads who cut ya off, comb their hair and text like crazy, Mrs. De.

And your husband is kind of, sort of LAZY. He's sleeping while you're driving? There is something wrong with that picture.

The funny thing is that there's not that much of it - six inches, maybe less. A lot of the older snow has turned to ice, and it just doesn't melt. Every time we see a bit of dark starting to show through, another 2 or 3 inches comes along and covers it up.

That's how it is up here in January and February. In a good year, the snow will melt off in late March. In a bad one, mid-May. Last year, we had one of our heavier snowfalls on something like May 23rd. Makes it kind of hard to get a garden going.

Weather.com says that our high Friday will be 11°. That's a pretty low high. My poor wife has to head into town at 10 a.m. when it'll be 4° and windy. I'll be with her in spirit! Aw, who am I kidding? I'll probably sleep in.
