They are out of stock of the color we want

...micro, if you was a good old boy from Georgia you would know that ya could take a couple cans of Rustoleum and paint em any color ya wanted.

Yankess ain't bright on stuff like this.

micro replied last night to an e-mail in which I'd wished him well and given him a link to the post I made here on the night I phoned his room. Sounds like he's in a lot of pain but has recovered his 'gift of gab.' Hopefully that means he'll be back on our board before too much longer. - De

Good morning De !

I am getting ready to sleep. But checked email first .

THAT is HYSTERICAL ! You called and found me! THAT by itself means an awful lot to me.. Thank you my friend..

Good Samaritan Hospital and Bethesda North and one other make up a coalition known as TRI-Health here in Cincinnati. Bethesda North is rated a top 50 hospital in the country. Good Sam is close behind.

I was so woozy on pain blockers, anti-inflammatories, VALIUM, and one other thing I did not know what my own name was.. Most of the meds were given thru the I.V. ports on 4 hour intervals.. Started out with strong pain med Morphine. A couple days later changed up to high doseage of Percocets, always 2 pills at one time plus all the other things they put into my i.v. I looked forward to medicine time.. Still do..

I take two percocet at a time every four hours for pain, one large sized Robaxin every 6 hours anti-inflammatory/muscle relaxer, and a steroid countdown pill pack..

De,

My right leg and knee are just in excruciating pain. Nothing in this house feels good to sit on or lay on. Before surgery we found some GREAT powered Recliners that are extremely comfortable, supportable and very adjustabable on sale for $900.00 apiece. We want Two.. Store is like a mile from house. They are out of stock of the color we want so we have o wait until they get their next shipment in which won’t be until June.

They will deliver, bring inside, set up, hook up, and remove the old dual recliner sofa from my man cave room… I really wanted these for now… I realize why I wanted them on this side of the operation and recovery… It is brutal. I talked with Nemo yesterday. Want to give him pointers and things to prepare for as I have already gone thru this.

If he is like me, he will have times he wishes he would not have had this operation. I am sure maybe you felt like that with yours as well. This is really painful..

WE called Surgeon’s assistant this morning to ask about the Right Leg and knee issues if this is normal after spinal fusion surgery,, Leg has gone NUMB, then just POUNDS with pain thru the knee and you can feel your heartbeat. If I was a beaver, I would have chewed it off. LOL!!!

I am sure things are heading in the right direction and just take needed time to fully heal. I asked the assistant about possibility of increasing the strength or frequency of the pain meds and she at least said she would ask Doc.. I don’t think it is going to happen but hey, I could get lucky…. Lol!!!!

De, seriously, you guys will never fully know how very deeply I felt answers to prayers. I was awakened suddenly at midnight second day, wide awake, and feeling very strong… No reason and not possible… But I felt I had my body strength back… My attendant popped in and I talked about it with her and told her there at least five or six rednecks I am friends with across the country who have been praying for my recovery and I believed GOD just answered that request..

I asked if we could get the walker and I could take some steps and she said yes. So she safety trapped me and I was able to hold the walker and stand up.. I walked with her down the hall about 60 feet or so and came back feeling like my normal usual self…

I have no explanation but this did happen.. I was given strength from somewhere I did not possess before… SO I was thrilled to be reminded that GOD hears the requests of people and does still answer…

Feel free to share this with our group if you would.. I owe you all many thanks and gratitude . I have a long road ahead yet but at least we are off to a good start!

God Bless,

Your friend,

micro
