I do appreciate the links De.

I do remember the slope formula - it was one of the subjects I studied up on last year.

And I have learned that the first derivative is a dandy way to find the vertex of a parabola.

I'll get around to it. As I told the lady at the bank Friday, I'm retired. Next week . . . next month . . . next year . . It's all good.

Just so you know, I was lazy back in high school when I should have been learning this stuff.

I've also been bouncing around in my studies. I have a math book, in which I am into odds and probability. There is a 'Calculus made easy' - where the derivative and some of its uses were made evident. And the Algebra and Trigonometry text book I need to get into next.

I also know that I need to study and master logarithms and cement in how fractions in the exponents work . . .

None of which are probably really important in my life any more. But I do want to learn this stuff.

The nice thing about this guy is that he begins with a whole lot of review, going all the way back to high school algebra and geometry. Here,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4xOUmgBbmc&list=PL8erL0pXF3JYm7VaTdKDaWc8Q3FuP8Sa7&index=4

he's going over the slope formula y=mx+b that I bet you remember from high school.

I encourage you to take a look at his videos before you assume that you aren't prepared. That might be the case or it might not, but take a look before assuming.
