The snowstorm petered out. Only two more inches came down overnight. What's falling today is light, and it's supposed to stop entirely by 6 p.m. - nine hours sooner than expected.

Our total accumulation will therefore be ten or eleven inches - no big deal. Global warming has disappointed once again.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

The nor'easter that has been all over the news is only supposed to graze my part of New Hampshire. Snow began to fall about 5 PM and now, at 12:30 AM, is already about 8 inches deep. Just 8 to 13 inches are expected, and the storm is supposed to continue for another 27 hours - so we are obviously exceeding expectations.

I just shoveled the deck and two thirds of the dog yard. If the storm continues as it has, I'll need to do it again in the morning or the poor dog will have to learn to use the toilet.
