Last week's Superbowl prompted me to temporarily sign up for the CBS ALL ACCESS streaming service. I accepted its 'one week free' offer in order to catch the game and have been binge watching some of the service's programs ever since. Star Trek Picard was disappointing. Young Sheldon didn't have very many episodes available. Star Trek Discovery has, so far, knocked my socks off. I'm only a few episodes in, but they've been really, really good.

Along with Tuni and Pluto and Amazon Prime and IMDB and more, I've reached the point where I'm using so many streaming services that I can hardly remember them, much less remember what they offer. Some are free or bundled at no extra charge with other services I've got. Some have ads. Some are ridiculously (imo) expensive. Many include quality programs that are hard to find anywhere else. Some are loaded with classics.

It'd be nice to have a repository that keeps track of all this.

The purpose of STREAM is, therefore, to track the various streaming hosts, what they cost, what's unusual about them and what they offer - including any high quality movies or series. Guidance on how to use them with different platforms and OS's, and how to cast them to a television is also in scope. I'm hoping the board won't ever become a general discussion forum though since I'm creating it to be a reference. Conversations that remain true to the board's purpose are welcome, though.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
