He wants his cake and eat it too. He wants to get rid of Trump, but doesn’t want to be looking behind his back outside his house, so he blames Nancy for not acting while Trump was in office, when he said the Senate was in recess.
He basically threw Trump under the bus, but tried to keep the militia from coming for him.
That’s the bottom line. In any case we are rid of Trump in an official sense, once and for all, and let the courts HAVE AT HIM.
