It seems downtown Houston was all lit-up like there was no power emergency yet the residential and commercial areas surrounding downtown were in near total darkness due to the so-called rolling blackouts being orchestrated by the power company in an attempt to prevent the total shutdown of the grid. As one local resident put it, why are near empty office buildings all lit-up while we're sitting in our blacked-out homes, trying to keep our families from freezing to death:
