You have a boy and I'm certain you are too smart not to have taken advantage of every available tax break for both wife and kid.
I was married once upon a time. Divorced. No wife or kids for decades now.
One would think you would be the one advocating tax breaks for wife and kids . . . and I would be the one advocating that 'the tax code penalizes us single types'. Kind of makes me wonder.
