Most folks want their children to have things better than they did.
Remember the stories of the black ladies crunching the numbers to help put Americans on the moon? And today how many blacks understand the math - and now when math is 'racist' . . . .
Before I retired I used to work with a black lady . . . I believe she told me her grandparents were both school teachers . . . She was a 'wiper'. Her job was to take parts out of a machine, scrape the crud off them, clean them up some, then put them back on. Why her grand parents didn't help her to learn how to get a better job is beyond me.
