Nemo > What is applied Calculus' ???????????

I'm not sure that it is a 'real thing'.
But I was thinking and wondering if one could
learn 'enough calculus' to apply it to a variety
of real world problems without having to learn
all the 'rigor' and 'nitty gritty' that goes into
truly mastering the subject.

I suspect that there are 'techniques' from calculus
that would be useful to engineering types that
could be used as tools . . .

But I got a LOT of studying to do before I get there.
