That reminds me of that microprocessor course I took as part of the digital electronics curriculum back at Tidewater Community College back around 1980 . . . The instructor said it was an open book test. Open notebook test. Heck, bring some books from home if you want to test. And half the class still failed it.

Good times. I did good in it. But, if one did not take the classes as directed . . . if one did not learn all the different subjects adequately . . . if one could not think logically . . . well, if one did not learn how to at least navigate through base 16 arithmetic . . . Say good night Gracie.

5 Hour calculus is the FLUNK OUT COURSE at the University of Cincinnati and has been for decades.

Mathematics prpares peoples minds to follow good logical thought order and processes. Not just how to figure out some complex problems like structural or Manufacturing fabrication answers for making of products or even civil engineering projets..

I have two people in my family who actually Teach calculus in school.. At Advanced placement levels which means they don't have to take it in college... They are a niece and one nephew. My daughter also could teach it... I have forgotten more than I retained from lack of use over some time away from daily applications in my fabricating corporation..
