Do they expect an army to descend on helicopters to assault the building?
Take everything down, and place security in key points, and on the grounds, and make sure that reinforcements are nearby and ready to respond to any problems. This is ridiculous and stinks of banana republic security methods.

If March 4th is a “special” date, make sure you communicate that security will be armed and deadly for anyone hoping to do a repeat, and the day before place police and national guard around the city and Capitol to make sure “they” get the message.
Imagine if NYC had been barricaded after 9/11. It was secured without stupid stuff. There are always risks in a democratic system. You just can’t hide because of them.
Barricading the Capitol for months shows weakness and doubt about our democracy. Protect it, and the people inside, but barricade it for months? Gimme a break.
