ya know, after awhile this stuff just gets old. If all I had was the spinal fusion surgery typical recovery, I would be singing and happy as anything. I have almost ZERO pain from that at this point in time.
Its this other crazy crap that is keeping me with an average of 2 hours sleep per day. I canot get into any kind of sleep position on ANY of all the beds and furniture we have without circulation to my right leg being instantly cutoff and then the from the knee down it just has painful shooting jolts and throbbing going on with NO circulation . IN other words, its a dead leg.
So that is what I am now battling.
Yesterdays trip to the prinmary care physician's has a ray of hope. The physician actually listened to me and my boss, checked it out with examining the culprit.
Doc believes there may well be a blood clot in that leg even though some ultra sound test test said it could not find one. That happened to my daughter. They told her NO there is not a clot. She went to a suster hospiital a few days later and had the same test and the Radiologist looking at it said there definitely is one. They immediately started treating her to diddolve that clot and she was better in short time..
SO, because the emergency room doctor that I spent 12 hours with last week for this very thing and who sent me home with starter pack of Eliquis for thinning blood and dissolving clots, and the 4 day starter pack actually helped, this doctor has prescribed the Eliquis again to continue to see if this may take care of the dead leg and potential clot. Doc also scheduled me an appointment with a vascular surgeon for next Friday..
Someone will get to the bottom of it. I hope the Eliquis finishes the job and allows my leg to have good blood flow through it again... THAT would be great...
I could finally sleep more than a couple hours in one night if that were to happen.. Yes, I am sleep deprived and so tired I can barely keep my head up. But anything I sit on or lay on cuts off circulation to my lower right leg and that is a painful and bad feeling... It takes over an hour to regain any trickle of blood flow and oxygen..
In a word, something AIN'T right...
It also does not helpp to have a growing hernia in my loer left groin area that is getting more attention on a weekly basis, plus my right knee is completely shot. I am totally bone on bone so when I have to walk to get blood flow restored in that leg, the knee now gets to pound for a few hours until it setlles back down..
I guess I should feel thankful I am not a Horse....
Anyway, thisis what is literally going on with me in the aftermath of that Spinal Fusion surgery.
At least my back is not hurting much anymore.....
