Well, old dogs need to learn new tricks.
Common sense must prevail. I thank GOD for my wife every day because she is self sacrificing and cares about me. Without her I am afraid I would be in long term nursing care facility... and alone and isolated..
There is nothing like a devoted spouse as several of you guys can definitely attest to, not just me..
Miz micro gets me dressed every day. She makes sure I take my meds every time I need to and correct amount. She gets things for me I need.. She makes sure that I have what I feel I can eat in morning, for lunch, and dinner time at night and picks up after me. NEVER complains.. Takes me to appointments and makes sure I get to the offices.. ( I have to use a walker. Cannot walk on my own due to my knee)
SO I am blessed to have married a Godly woman who is truly my "Help Meet" and a good example for younger women to follow....
I got a knee support from CVS yesterday.. Its just a stretch band, no hard side bars on it.. I tried one of those and it killed me..
This support actually feels good on and ithelps keep my knee in place when I step on my right leg.. A huge improvement for my ability to walk...
Last night I was able to stay in my bed from 9:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. when I had to leave due to pain in my hips from the surgery and go to the bed I made up on the sectional in the living room. I can sleep there for awhile because it is a little firmer than our bed..
But that's a record for sleep time. Hoping I can get that lengthened each night...
I have stopped all Percocet asa of a few days ago... Off the narcotic altogether and simplytaking Aleve and Tylenol in combination for relief. The Aleve is for trying to get the inflammation out of my SHIN on my right leg. If someone knows a better anti inflammatory over the counter I am all ears... Shin splints hurt especially when trying to move your foot or walking..
I see the surgeon tomorrow afternoon.. I will be nice until I am not.. I am pizzed at lack of communication and seemingly not trying to help with all these things that happened I did not have before surgery... Medicare paid him about a week or two after surgery so I guess he did not need to treat me or help me with the problems anymore... So it seems..
I am not a physician but I am a pretty good mechanical engineer and businessman. SO I am not exactly stupid and can talk with him on his level and I am sure he knows nothing in my areas of expertise so we are even..
Even the vascular surgeon told me to get up with the surgeon about all these problems. I called his office,, told his assistant about things and I have heard nothing.
Tomorrow should be interesting. Hope I don't lose my temper..
I simply want professional help and getting over these isolated problems so I can resume life and get this HERNIA repaired as soon as I can.. I still have to get the ct scan ..
Wondering when the fluid in my right leg, foot, calf is going to go away... It comes and goes... Its a pain. I drink over 60 ounces of water daily.. So its not a lack of hydration....
Anyway, the BACK is HEALING. Still some tenderness in a couple spots but overall, no back pain like I had before surgery.. Praise God for that... Still have long time before completely healed but the progress there alone is very good.. My back is not keeping me up.. Its all in the right leg and foot and thatw as not there before surgery... Pretty simple.... So what happened?
Hope to find that out tomorrow.
And that is where I am... I may drive the new Tuscon I bought before surgery for my wife down the street. I am allowed to drive as long as no percocet... SO I may give it a try... If good, then I can drive the 17 miles to doc's office tomorrow because traffic scares my wife...
