I figured something out while I was showering a few minutes ago that nobody else seems to have. The show's host, Chris Harrison, didn't bow out of the Bachelor's latest 'After Show' party as a punishment. He did so because hosting the show could only harm his career. Either he beats up Rachael Kirkconnell for attending an 'Old South' party in 2018 (dressed as an Indian) and alienates the show's audience who see him as the ultimate 'Nice Guy,' or he asks her a few softball questions and lets her apologize (again), thereby stirring the pot and getting accused all over again by Leftists and blacks of defending her racist behavior. He can't win. It's Lose-Lose. Hosting the party would be career ending while, right now, it might not be.

Naw, it's no punishment. Harrison and ABC want this thing to blow over. They'll put someone else in, probably a black guy, who will chastise Rachael and give her limited time on the air to appear contrite.

So, what happens if Rachael WINS? There are only 3 gals left, after all and she's the pretty one. It could happen.

Heh. This story hadn't broken when the show finished taping. The Bachelor at the center of it all didn't know what a horrible person... a person who had gone to a party DRESSED AS AN INDIAN... he was seeing. He made his decision without knowing what a powder keg he'd be igniting if he proposed to her. She could be the winner. In fact, I favored her to win a long time ago. Could be fun to watch.

BTW, trapped as I am in my house, I'm watching a lot of old shows on Hulu. I watched Season 17 of The Bachelor. We're now in Season 25. It's clear to me that the show has gone WAAAAY downhill. No exotic travel. In fact, no travel at all. The Bachelor isn't nearly as interesting. The women aren't nearly as hot.

Oh well. I guess that's what one should expect of Reality TV in this era of Covid and WOKE.
