I agree. The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts were absolutely HILARIOUS! Quite a while back, I looked into buying the whole set on DVD, but if I remember correctly, I was put off by the cost. A lot of the Johnny Carson Tonight Show episodes are priceless, as well.

Little known fact ... did you know that the Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts was where Ruth Bader Ginsburg got her start before she became a jurist?

Re: “ That was UNREAL!!!!!”
I don't think we've been watching the same shows.

I forced myself to watch two seasons of Star Trek Discovery. I can't take anymore. It's truly awful. Whoever is making the show is absolutely clueless as to what made the original Star Trek so popular: It was FUN. S.T.D. is all black/homosexual propaganda. No fun at all. The lead is a black woman (Spock's adopted older sister, a human) who has exactly one emotion: TEARS. All she does is go from depressing situation to depressing situation, and it drags on through entire seasons. No more for me.

I'm also watching 'The Crown' on Netflix. It's the story of Queen Elizabeth II and is very good. And then a bunch of old classics on Tubi, IMDB and Pluto. If you haven't yet checked those three services out, you should. They're completely free. I've been watching The Love Boat, Columbo, The Ray Bradbury Theater, The Twilight Zone (not the Rod Serling version), Green Acres, and classic Tonight Show episodes with Johnny Carson. So many great OLD shows... they really make it clear how much television plots have diminished over the years.

I just found The Dean Martin Celebrity Roast, 1974, episodes 1 through 29. I know what I'll be watching tonight! I *loved* those specials! Episode 1 roasts Bob Hope. Guests include Flip Wilson, Jimmy Stewart, Howard Cosell, Jack Benny, General Omar Bradley, Phyllis Diller, Milton Berle, Neil Armstrong, Rich Little, Ginger Rogers, Rev. Billy Graham, Johnny Bench, Foster Brooks, Governor Ronald Reagan, Nipsey Russell, Don Rickles, Sugar Ray Robinson, Mark Spitz, Zsa Zsa Gábor, John Wayne, Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. And, of course, Dean Martin. Hollywood doesn't hold a candle to what it used to be!
