As usual our fearless Frog King has provided some humor into a seemingly controversial post from our resident Imperial High Wizard..
It doth appear the pastor at this Church needs a lesson or ten in Theology and especially in the area of husband and wife relatioonships and sexual relations.
FAscinating that Dr. Tony Evans this morning had a message addresing this very topic and it was done very well and tastefully and was spot on in agreement and alignment with Scripture. He did not over reach nor ADD opinion. No adding or subtracting HIS opinion as to what the scriptures said..
This preacher however is way overboard and far outside what the scritures say regarding spousal relationships.
NOW, with that said, I will also agree somewhat with Him but only that it applies to BOTH married partners..
Scripture does tell us that WE ARE NOT OUR OWN and that we are BOUGHT WITH A PRICE. Also that HUSBANDS, LOVE YOUR WIVES as CHRIST so loved the Church and GAVE HIMSELF for it...
There is no command for wives to unilaterally reciprocate . The Command was gven to MEN who choose to marry a woman , especialy Godly man and woman weddings, that the Husband is to unequivacally to love HIS wife no matter what her response might be.... SHE is not. She also is not commanded to have a figure of a MODEL. Just as most MALES do not either but Pastor did not get on the men in the church to not be slobs or be hairy Bigfoot looking and smelling spouses... I do wonder why not though..
But this is exactly why GOD created a heirarchy in humanity, MALE and female, the wife is to be subject to the leading of her husband, the husband is to REVERENCE his wife and treather like a queen, and if they both are obedient to the teachings found in the Bible, they would enjoy a really great marriage without some mouthy idiot of a preacher saying something NOT FOUND IN SCRIPTURE.
As we get older unless all your life is about is working out and we tend to lose our younger physiques. Aging has a way of doing that.. Perfectly natural..
I can personally testify to that.. I am not what I was when I was say 20 years younger and before.. I weigh more. I am not as active. Some things we just cannot do anymore. It's no different for females...
So, in my humble opinion, this turkey of a pastor should be put on leave without pay, told to go to a real Bible College like Dallas THeological Seminary for instance, and get a much better understanding of the Bible and what it says. Sounds like he got his theological training out of a Cracker Jack box to me........
No wonder people are losing interest in Church and things of God.... He could well be a type of anti-christ...
