I went to the General Surgeon's office for a visit regarding what a radiologist said were two hernia's showing on a contrast CT scan. They are described as bilateral spigelian hernias. The doctor did not have the pictures from the scan to look at. He pressed on my bulge and other places quite hard. He said he could not detect a hernia..
He wants to see the pics from the CT scan to see what the radiologist was describing.. SO I have to go get a CD of my scan and drop off at the office this morning..
Theonly problem I see is that the bulge on my left is fairly good sized, constantly hurts, and resembles exactly what the radiologist described... It is smack dab in the spigelian zone of abdominal wall muscle and elongated.
While grateful for having dodged surgery temorarily, I am wondering what the heck is this then?
