Democrats keep insisting that the majority of mass shooters are violent, white males but photo collages from 2019 and 2020 do not seem to support that assertion and in fact, show a diverse mix of faces that are guilty of going on shooting sprees.

The Post Millennial’s Editor-at-Large Andy Ngo tweeted out collages that appear to contradict the media’s claims concerning race when it comes to mass shooters. Those on Twitter were quick to ask the source of the information which at least partially comes from a wiki seemingly dedicated to recording who comprises the list of mass shooters in the U.S. Specifically in this case, 2019. But there are allegedly other statistics out there that appear to support the other side of the issue as well and the debate rages on.

When the narrative of race collapsed, commenters immediately turned to how gun control was necessary due to the number of shooters out there. But that does not address who the individuals are as a whole that conduct these rampages or any other data that should be factored in when looking at the root cause of these tragedies, including mental illness and whether the shooters are on medication.

At this juncture, it’s relevant to point out how the media referred to these shootings in the past. In 2018, The Philadelphia Tribune ran the headline: “Majority of mass shootings carried out by white men.” Also in 2018, The New York Times ran with this: “Mass Shooters Are All Different. Except for One Thing: Most Are Men.”

The talking points after each mass shooting appear to be eerily similar. Those points include race, sex, guns, etc. But statistics are not delved into. For instance, in 2019 there were 20 mass shootings in Chicago alone. Most of the shootings that take place in inner cities don’t make the headlines and if they don’t fit the gun control or identity politics narrative, they usually don’t either.

Andy Ngo has been very vocal in his criticism of the media and how they pigeon-hole the identities of the shooters while exploiting the ‘race’ angle to their advantage.

He tweeted out: “It’s been a rough week for the identitarian left whose viral claims over white supremacist shootings fell apart as quickly as they were promulgated. I went on @SkyNewsAust to discuss the cynical race-baiting by journalists, politicians & celebrities.”

Andy Ngô ~ I'm hearing it repeated as gospel truth that "nearly all" American mass shooters are white. Here are the photos of mass shooters from 2019 (defined as four or more shot in a single incident). It shows quite a diverse set of faces. #Boulder #Atlanta

The interview with Sky News Australia began with a tweet sent out by activist and former Wall Street executive Amy Siskind, who put forth that the Boulder shooter was “almost certainly a white man.” That was proven wrong shortly thereafter since the shooter is an immigrant from Syria and Muslim.

She was far from alone as that narrative at the onset was voiced over and over again by the legacy media and on social media. Instead, Siskind pivoted and said that people should not disseminate the name of the shooter which was also parroted on social media.

“It’s been a rough week for the identitarian left in the United States,” Ngo stated once again in the interview. “Last week we had shootings in Atlanta where it was blamed on anti-Asian racism despite local investigators coming out and saying there’s no evidence of that.”

Six out of the eight victims in Atlanta were Asian. But the evidence now surfacing does not seem to support that the shooting was based on race. The shooter was indeed white and male, but claimed to be suffering from a “sex addiction.”

The media coverage after the Boulder shooting was very race-based in the beginning and again, the target was an alleged angry, violent, white male. This time, however, they were wrong. The media and leftists have a tendency to assign race and blame in a knee-jerk fashion in the majority of these tragedies.

“They tried to jump on that narrative in the mass shooting that happened in Boulder, Colorado in the last 48 hours,” Ngo continued. “There was some blurry footage that had come out showing a person being apprehended, and he had somewhat light skin. Then that narrative was that this was another mass white shooter, we’ve come to find out that it’s a Syrian Muslim man.” ...
