Yep. Your statement pretty much sums up my thoughts on Derek Chauvin's actions in this case. It is sad that George Floyd died, but it is also absolutely, undeniably TRUE that George Floyd was his very own worst enemy and that he was the foremost contributor to his own death.

Pathetic how the wrong conclusion is being reached. It's not that George Floyd's life didn't matter. It's that he probably wasn't murdered by a white man. I think at worst I'd find that the officer contributed to the tragedy, seemingly delaying Floyd's medical treatment. I would expect that to cost him his job since he lacked the common sense I expect of our police officers. I hope what he did would also be a misdemeanor. Nothing more.
