while the somewhat good news is that this poll shows favor for photo ID, what is discouraging is the other things.
It showed a majority of numnuts are in favor of automaticaly being registered to vote when they sign up for a driver license....
Why exactly is that a good idea I wonder. If one is too damn lazy and ignorant to understand as a citizen they have responsibilities now and one of those is showing some freaking interest in being a good citizen and registering yourself at the Board of Elections in whatever county in whatever state you happen to be a denizen of. ITS YOUR responsibility to take interest in politics. NOT the job of governmentto decide that you have interested and hence enroll your useless arse to vote.
THIS is all about vote or ballot harvesting and are the people in favorof this too damn stupid to realize it or see it?
If Elmer Fudd turns 22 and gets his driver license and by that time has never bothered to register to vote I would assume Elmer isn't interested at all, and likely is one of the most uninformed people of what goes on behind political process and hence makes him a useful tool for any vote harvester....
I love the photo ID requirement. I have to show my ID already here in Ohio when I go vote.. Its no problem. It validates that it is really ME casting MY VOTE. Nothing nefarious about that. Open, honest, fair elections should the norm..
