Re: “Seems like you were a recent proponent of the J&J 'vaccine' - I guess your goal posts have moved? They might move again.”
Yes, they moved. I learned that the J&J vaccine wasn't what I believed it to be. I don't know if I was misled or just didn't do my homework, but I *have* done my homework on Novavax. If the company has lied about what its vaccine consists of then I'll move my goalposts still another time - but I don't think that's the case.

I don't consider a vaccine that consists of what can be thought of as ground-up virus bits to be much of an experiment. Novavax has created the same kind of vaccine that Americans have been getting from their doctors for the last 70 years. It doesn't worry me. In fact, because of the new creation process (the moths that you mentioned), its inoculant has no chicken egg in it (most vaccines are grown in chicken eggs). That's a plus, not a minus.

The fact that the spike proteins are grown in moths does not mean that the inoculant includes "more components than you suggest." The proteins are just produced in a new way. The vaccine probably DOES contain some mercury, but the mercury is a result of Thimerosal, typically added to vials of inoculant and other meds to keep bacteria from growing. I'd probably rather have it in my one-time medications than not!

I agree with the rest of what you had to say. I think you're a little younger than me (I'm in my 50s) and younger people weather Covid-19 better than older. You may not be in a high risk group like I am. I've got more reasons than most my age to fear Covid-19.

But I also believe Covid-19 to be a disease EVERYONE should respect. Young people recover from seemingly mild cases of Covid and don't even know that they've incurred lung or neurological damage until problems manifest. That might not happen for decades. The virus attacks practically everything. Dying isn't the only concern, but it's the only one that gets any media attention. I've got enough seemingly "little" problems already. I don't want any more.

Quite apart from that, I think our society is going to make it very difficult for unvaccinated people to get by. Maybe I'll be wrong. I sure hope so.
