If electricity was cheap . . . .

And if the electricity was generated by non-burning
means (as in nuclear) . . .

Electric cars might make sense.

A 'consumer' electric car with solar panels on the
roof such that it could recharge itself while the owner
was inside at his job . . .

But we do not have the sufficiently cheap watts for
electric cars. And most of our 'cheaper watts' come
from burning coal.

And given that it takes hours to recharge an electric
car versus the few minutes to re-fill the gas tank at
the average gas station . . .

At the moment electric cars do not make sense.

if people would simply do the math they will discover itis more expensive to fuel up with electric an electric car than using inexpensive gasoline when we utilizeour resources.

this is just BS from the left who wantt o destroy our economy and infrastructire for the BAD NEW DEAL (aka green)

I looked at electric re-fueling pumps and prices for re-charging the batteries ad thought why would you do that? There is no difference and in many cases costs more than gasoline..
