Re: “I MAY try our hand at growing a few tomotato plants. I personally am not real fond of them but my wife is..”
I like fresh tomatoes. But I'd never grow so many plants (either 6 or 12 of each of the varieties I listed) for that reason.

Tomatoes are one of the easiest vegetables to grow for canning purposes. That is, it's easy to grow them in large quantities. To get a comparable yield from beans or peas, I'd need to erect trellises over half my field! Yeah, I'll do that eventually - at the new property - but I'm not ready to do it now. Prepping the soil at this location is unbelievably tedious. Tomatoes, though, are easy. And I do like spaghetti...

Maybe you are just testing out the cooling capacity of your freezer???? lol!!!!
Sounds like you are busy with getting ready to plant crops. Good for you!

I MAY try our hand at growing a few tomotato plants. I personally am not real fond of them but my wife is..

I do like sliced ones, fresh, on a hamburger I grilled on my Weber grill. That is one amazingly well built gas grill with NO gas aftertaste and very even cooking..

Best grill I have ever owned...
