The 7-day average death rate continues to drop across the US. So even when people get covid, fewer are dying from it, which tells you that a large chunk of vulnerable people have been vaccinated.
I think the death and hospitalisation rates are bound to keep going down regardless of the rate at which new cases are appearing, but especially where they are reducing!!
