No big surprise. Justice is served.

Although if he had been contrite and argued it was a non-malicious error of judgement, the jurors might just have been persuaded he was guilty only of manslaughter.

Being proud and inflexible is not a good look in these circumstances. Demonstrates the part of his personality that wouldn't remove his foot.

Sad result for everyone. If only he had let the guy breathe, both would have a life ahead of them.
