And yet, because the cop is white and the girl was black, regardless of the fact that the cop was protecting another black girl, some woke liberals will blame the cop and call him a racist.
At the same time, the girl who was killed was the one who called the cops. So whatever she was doing was probably a response to provocation.
Things are complicated. Applying labels to these situations before we know much about them is really unhelpful. In fact, there's racism in the assumption that a WHITE cop needs to be held accountable whenever the victim is black, in spite of the ironclad self-righteousness of some of those assuming it [eg LeBron James].
Right now, it's just another tragedy in a country in which the resort to weapons is far too common.
