They must have guessed they were somehow not susceptible as the last wave petered out in India. But they are a huge manufacturer of vaccines and so should be able to improve their immunity quickly. Maybe the EU should send its unwanted AZ vaccines to India as well. Not sure we've reached the top for new cases yet. The UK is sending ventilators, but we have nothing like the volume they need.
