I hate to break the news to people who get hung up on denominations and various Churches, but GOD does not care about what Church one may belong to.
His parable of the Good Shepherd and the lost sheep, how the Shepherd left the other 99 together and went and searched until HE found that one lost Sheep and rescued it and brought it back into the fold with the others should tell everyone who reads that GOD the SON and GOD the FATHER are interested in individuals.
When the Great White Throne Judgment takes place, those who are there, (which are the people who have rejected Christ as the Savior and Son of God), will stand before GOD the FAther individually and be Judged one at a time individually.
The same is true for the Judgment Seat of Christ where believers of all ages will be judged of their works that they have done for the glory of Jesus Christ in helping to bring others to HIM and escaping Hell's final destiny.. WHAT the BELIEVER does for Christ after they become a believer is what is important.. BY YOUR WORKS you shall be known.. Rewards will be given to the Saints of God which are the believers in Christ..
Many Bible scholars and Theologians believe that what you have done for CHrist after your Salvation is what will determine your status in Heaven for eternity...
There are no dead people who can pray. The dead are dead until they are brought back to life when the Lord shall call them out of the graves.. Those bodies will be reunited with the eternal spirits of the bodies and changed in a twinkling of an eye and be an eternal body..
These are the blessed believers who have died before CHrist's Calling home of the saints at that time, which we refer to as The Rapture.
Most Catholic people are misinformed and ignorant of Scripture and only believe what someone else told them. The sad part is they think in their minds they are very knowledgeable about the scriptures when in fact very few people as a whole truly are or have had theprivilege of actually seeing fragmnents of the Dead Sea Scrolls which contained majiscules and other fragments of the Holy Scriptures that were COPIED from the originals.
There is over a thousand times more pieces of Scripture available from the Majority Text than any other so called "text" from which all these Bible perversions are taken from.. Just a factual nugget to chew on.... It is not disputable..
I have seen them personally and Bibles preserved from these clear back to early 1600's.
IF people think that they can just pray to anyone and get answers, why then did Jesus Himself say to them, COME UNTO ME????? He did not say COme to your neighbor, your dead grandma or father, your local Pastor, or Deacon. He said specifically COME UNTO ME.
He also said I AM THE DOOR. Not anyone else... Heaven's entrance to the THRONE is thru the door of Jesus Christ and HIM ALONE... It was HIS finished work on the cross that was the reason the VEIL in the Temple was ripped in half from top to bottom. Tjhis allows access of people to come to the throne of Christ and HIM directly IN PRAYER without needing a proest or intercessor other than the HOLY GHOST winging our prayers to HIS THRONE....
I could go on for hours but this is not a theology class.
ALL of the TRIPE that was posted by others thinking that Prayer is to be directed at anyone except GOD, The FATHER or SON, is smoking some really bad drugs.. And their ignorance of scripture is on full dislpay and you can easily tell they don;t spend much time studying the WORDS of GOD carefully.....
SO I will leave at that.. I do not want this to become a classrooom where I am teaching Prophecy or Christology or Pneumatology..
