No surprise there. He wants to make something that promotes his own voice and no one else's. And he's not a person that would imagine some original social media technology because he's barely literate from that perspective.
So he told his people to tell some coders what he wanted and they built it [or probably just assembled some old publically-available code because he wouldn't notice the difference].
He might as well just issue more pointless documents from the office of the ex-president in the way he does already.
On the other hand, this seems like a good solution for everyone.
